Madera 2016 – 11 – 680 metrów nad plażą

Portugalia – Madera – Cabo Girao         23.09.2016          4 069 km

Dalej jedziemy wzdłóż wybrzeża i wspinamy się na górę do Cabo Girao. To miejsce z tarasem widokowym na wysokim klifie. Bardzo wysokim klifie 😉 Taras jest częściowo zrobiony ze szkła, na którym można stanąć dosłownie nad prawie siedmiuset metrową przepaścią.
Nie byłam pewna, który to punkt, bo nasz przewodnik wspomina o kolejce linowej, więc wklepuję teleferico. Droga jest bardzo stroma, wąska i bez widoku naprzód, gdy trzeba wymijać zaparkowane po jednej stronie auta. Powoli się przyzwyczajam 😉

We drive along the coast and then we climb up to Cabo Girao. It’s a place with a terrace on a high hill. A very high hill 😉 The terrace is made partly of glass – you can step there, above almost a 700 meters deep precipice.
I’m not sure which place is that, our guide says about a cable car, so I drive to teleferico. The road is very steep, narrow and I can’t see anything in the front when I must drive past parking on one side cars. I slowly get used to that 😉

Ale za to widoki są przecudne, aż mam ochotę co chwilę się zatrzymywać.
Z górnej stacji kolejki widać w dole – hmmm, bardzo w dole 😉 – jakieś pole uprawne, no i ścieżkę, która prowadzi wzdłóż wybrzeża, do pobliskiej plaży. I tylko po to wybudowano tutaj teleferico 🙂
Miejsce jest super, w morzu widać piękne turkusy. A wysoko w górze, tak, że zdaje się prawie w niebie, widać właściwy taras widokowy Cabo Girao.
PS. Jesienią w tym miejscu, w trakcie wichury, spadło trochę skał. Kolejka przez jakiś czas nie działała…

But the views are fantastic, I wanna stop every while.
From the upper stop of the cable car we can see a field dwon there, hmmm, very down there 😉 There’s also a path along the coast, going to a beach nearby. And this is the only reason they have built the teleferico here 🙂
The place is great, I can see beautiful turquoise colors in the sea. And high above – it seems almost in heaven – we can see the right Cabo Girao terrace.
PS. In fall there has been a slide of rocks in this place. The teleferico was closed for some time…

I tam właśnie chcemy się autem wdrapać.
Trochę mnie to przeraża… ale oczywiście okazało się, że nie było tak strasznie, choć mijać się z autokarem sobie tutaj nie wyobrażam, brrr 😉 A parking na górze dla autokarów też jest.

And that is the place we wanna get to.
I’m a little bit frightened… but then of course it wasn’t so bad, although I couldn’t imagine to pass by a big bus here 😉 And there’s a parking place for buses up there.

Na górze jest knajpa i sklep z pamiątkami i toaleta (jedna z niewielu płatnych na wyspie 0,50 euro).
No i jest taras, a na nim dziki tłum. Ale jakoś daje radę fotki porobić, bo w tym przypadku nogi stojące na szkle nad przepaścią powiedzmy, że są dodatkową atrakcją 😉
Widoki też super, no i ta wysokość! Żaglowiec w dole wygląda jak miniaturka. Podobny taras
był na La Palmie w Puntagorda, ale tam aż takiego wrażenia nie robił, bo nie był aż tak wysoko, no i widać było lasy i zielsko, a nie plażę w dole.

There’s a restaurant up there and a souvenir shop and a toilet (one of not many of those you have to pay for 0,50 euro).
And there’s the terrace, with a wild crowd. But I don’t mind that – let’s say this time legs standing over the precipice are also an attraction 😉
The wievs are fantastic, too, and that hight! A sailing ship down there looks like a miniature.
A similar terrace was at La Palma in Puntagorda, but it wasn’t so impressive – it wasn’t that high and there was weed down there instead of a beach.
